IMPACT IN ACTION
At the McMaster chapter of Engineers Without Borders, we are focused on making a difference in our local community and university environment as well as promoting positive change on a worldwide scale. We stand for equality and strive to reduce the prevalence of poverty in today’s society. We are an inclusive club that hosts events to fundraise, spread awareness and advocate for important causes while working towards a more sustainable future. Check out some of our initiatives!
CANADA-AFRICA INNOVATION FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The Canada-Africa Innovation Fellowship partners young leaders from Canada and Africa to learn, create, and accelerate ideas as a way to build a sustainable and inclusive future. A unique chance for university students to grow their leadership, entrepreneurial and innovation capacity while engaging in cultural, academic and professional exchange.
Sustainable New Normal
Our chapter’s theme for the 2020-2021 academic year was creating a “sustainable new normal.” The world had been turned upside-down by the global pandemic and we focused on combating some of the additional strain that has been put on the lives of those in our community as a result, while keeping a priority on sustainability.
